Whew, the "monsoonal" streetscapes and that cat seeking higher ground say it all! I will try to bring some of the nice Melbourne sunshine we have had here all week up to Manilla on the weekend (but will pack a novel as a backup plan)!
Hope your are all able to stay cheerful despite the lack of flying.
Paragliding Comp= Rain World Paragliding Comp = Call Noah! The farmers must be so glad that another paragliding comp has brought rain. Well there's still another week to go, so there's still hope for a few more rounds. Good luck, go the Aussie Team. Fly Safe, James

The weather really is a bummer. I can only begin to guess at the mayhem and disappointment it is causing to businesses, overseas and Aussie pilots, campers, comp organisers, etc. Hopefully the massive roadwork improvements made at The Mountain are safe.
As someone said, if we have to have crap weather, let it be in the early stage and then have day after day of great flying. Here's hoping for a surprise weather change bringing you fantastic conditions .... Rob

Great video! So THAT's why Manilla's streets have those deep, car-door-destroying gutters...
